With the high amount of plant material, warm temperatures and decreased potential of rainfall, late summer urea applications to pastures are susceptible to ammonia volatilization. Using a nitrogen stabilizer like AGROTAIN^® can help protect this nitrogen investment. 

A two-year study¹ conducted by the University of Georgia on Bermuda grass shows that urea treated by AGROTAIN improved yields, due to reduced ammonia volatilization loss. 
 

The research found AGROTAIN reduced ammonia volatilization by more than 63 percent and produced 11 percent more forage yield than untreated urea. 

To get the most out of a forage stockpile, apply nitrogen after the last cutting or grazing.
